Ryan Seacrest crawls on ‘Live’ set in first appearance since exit

Ryan Seacrest has all the time in the world, so he returned to his old stomping grounds … or crawling grounds.

Seacrest, 48, visited the set of “Live” Thursday for the first time since the show switched from “Live with Kelly and Ryan” to “Live with Kelly and Mark” for a guest appearance.

The former host joined Kelly Ripa, 52, and Mark Consuelos, 52, to promote the Season 21 “American Idol” finale, which airs Sunday on ABC, and he revealed that since leaving the show April 14, he has so much time on his hands.

“I’ve got all kinds of time,” Seacrest said. “There’s this fascinating thing I’ve experienced called time. I don’t know if you guys know about it. The alarm chimes in the morning. It’s a soft nudge.”

The “American Idol” host walked Ripa, Consuelos and viewers through his new morning routine.

“I walk through the forest. The sun is about right here. I look for the beans of coffee. I harvest them,” he quipped.

Later, Seacrest complimented Consuelos’ take on the morning talk show’s long-running “Truth Game,” where viewers call in and answer questions about two previously provided statements about them — one real, one fake — and try to confuse the hosts into guessing the wrong one.

“I have to say, I’ve been watching — you guys are so great. I love Mark doing the teases. I love the promos I see. I love the game,” Seacrest said.

Consuelos clapped back, saying that “the game has turned back into a game” since Seacrest’s departure, referring to his own habits of trying to stop the contestant from winning the prize, a show-branded mug.

“OK, but don’t be so competitive. Let people win!” Seacrest replied.

Seacrest then decided to become a contestant, asking Ripa and Consuelos to guess whether he “started an animal movement class” or if he’s “been studying dendrology, the study of trees” since leaving “Live.”

He showed off his “animal moves” by crawling across the set like an unknown animal and then hopping like a frog on his way back.

The Post has reached out to Seacrest’s reps for comment.

Seacrest said in February that he was leaving “Live With Kelly and Ryan” after six years as co-host, citing his desire to move to Los Angeles as a factor in his decision.

“This is something that [Kelly] and I have been talking about for a long time, and it was a tough, tough decision,” Seacrest stated at the time. “Last year we spoke, and I made the decision to make this my last season as co-host.”

Consuelos took over, and the ABC program was rebranded as “Live with Kelly and Mark” April 17.

“The only person I can think of that is capable of holding [Ryan’s] torch the way [he has] held it would be my husband, Mark Consuelos,” Ripa said.

“Live” airs weekdays on ABC (check local listings).
