This is a delicious and healthy snack even though it is fried. It is quite an unusual and different recipe. The cook is sure to get compliments on this recipe. Make sure that you serve it at a party.

For this recipe you will need two bundles of spinach. Clean and cut the spinach. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan and add one teaspoon of cumin seeds. Add the spinach and salt to taste and cove the pan with a lid and allow it to cook for three to four minutes. When the spinach is soft and dry remove from the gas and allow it to cool. When cool blend the mixture and keep aside.

Now take one cup of white flour and sieve it. Add some salt to it and knead it with water and oil in equal proportions. To this dough add the spinach mixture and knead again. The dough will, become green in color. Now add some crumbled cottage cheese and one teaspoon of red chili powder and knead again till all the ingredients are mixed well in to the dough.

Roll out the dough in to the desired thickness and use shape cutters to cut out the desired shape and deep fry in hot oil. Serve hot with chutney. It tastes just as good plain. You can allow the kids to munch on it all day as it is full of spinach and cottage cheese; both of which are very healthy. It is very easy to make ; especially if you have sudden guests. It is a great snack to put in your child’s box to take to school. Even you can take it for lunch to the office as it is quite filling.

You can serve it as a side dish along with your main course. If you do not have cottage cheese you can omit it and it will yet taste great. You can also eat it with salsa sauce if you do not have chutney at home. You can add any spices that you want to it while kneading it. All variations taste just as good.
