"As soon as I saw Stranger Things, I felt for protagonist Eleven. She had to endure alienation and experimentation all at the cost of appeasing someone she thought she could trust. Cosplaying this flawed but multi-faceted character reminded me that good company should be kept close at heart, seeing as how she bonds with strangers (now friends) who stretched out their hands, offering her a home she never had. The strong force of nature, Eleven, is a well-written character who is powerful, intelligent, and loyal. While she seems simple in nature, she is so much more.
I had a blast wearing her to local conventions while joking about The Upside Down and, not surprisingly, waffles."
